Enclosed in 10" thick walls of insulation and concrete, these townhouses are built to for quietness, strength, and energy efficiency. The combination of concrete block and plaster walls give an urban loft feel to each residential home. Large windows open up the rooms but maintain energy efficiency. Care was made to design air conditioning systems so that the ducts would remain inside the envelope allowing for less controlled air loss. Flooring is renewable resources of a combination of bamboo hardwoods and cork tiles. Although three houses shared a 50'x100' lot, each was given privacy, yards, and generous living spaces.
